Two Kinds of Blood?

According to the media, Muslim blood is precious. Anyone else's is culpable. The recent coverage of Serbia bears this out.

The 1995 efforts of Bosnian Serbs to drive Muslims from their homeland have been likened to the genocidal programs of Nazi Germany. One home video was recently uncovered (reportedly from Srebrenica) showing Serbian forces executing six Muslims. It has naturally led to renewed comparisons between Serbs and Nazis in Big Media reportage.

Without excusing any abuses committed by Serb forces, it seems noteworthy that major media never seem to apply the Nazi metaphor in reference to the depredations of the Sunni Muslims of Iraq. These Iraqis are respectfully called "insurgents." Their devilish kidnappings; the torture and mayhem they wreak on captives--then broadcast to the world; their ceaseless slaughter of not only foreigners but of their own countrymen; none of this ever recieves the label of war crime, genocide or even atrocity.

When Muslims commit mayhem, murder and massacres, it's okay. But when anyone else commits such acts, or anything like them, they are considered atrocious, unacceptable and especially horrid. Why?
