This of course means it is time to raise the white flag of surrender. U.S. guards mishandling Qu’rans, or is it Korans, or is it Qur’ans? Water, urine, foot-to-book, oh the humanity! Of course never mind the fine details: Thousands of interrogations, thousands of copies of Korans, and out of all that, a grand total of 15 cases of "Koran Abuse" in which only five have any merit. All of this, however, was avoidable from the get go at Gitmo (I had to write that!).

Once again, a collective body of politically-correct idiots decided it was a swell idea to give the miscreants at Guantanamo, Cuba copies of Qu’rans, or is it Korans, or is it Qur’ans (?) in the first place. Just as in the infamous case of Abu Ghraib, a travesty of justice that far exceeds the worst crimes of the Islamists and possibly the Soviet Gulags and Nazi Death Camps*, military minds overlooked a host of potential problems. In the Abu Ghraib case, by allowing soldiers their own personal cameras in a prison, the military created the conditions where a few low-I.Q. derelicts, particularly correction guards who double-up as part-time soldiers, could and did turn Abu Ghraib into "the Gomer Pyle meets Lyndie England meets Jenna Jameson Show."

I once wrote “next time instead of ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ make the policy, ‘no pictures, no scandal’. In a continued act of supreme stupidity motivated no doubt by “good intentions”, our military decided to overlook the Al-Qaeda manuals that specifically instructed captured Al-Qaeda terrorists to manipulate the American MSM and legal systems with woeful tales of abuse, and instead, handed out thousands of Qu’rans, or is it Korans, or is it Qur’ans (?) at Gitmo. Brilliant guys! Nice going Rummy! Next time follow this edict when dealing with captive, extremist Islamists: “No Qu’rans, No Problems.”
