Muslim Anti-Terror Group Holds D.C. Rally

The Free Muslims coalition, an anti-terrorism group headed by Kamal Nawash, an American of Palestinian descent, will be holding a rally at Freedom Plaza in Washington D.C. today.

Titled the "March Against Terror," the rally will feature over 80 groups, many of them Middle Eastern, participating in what Nawash describes as a, "rally against terrorism and to support freedom and democracy in the Middle East and the Muslim world." Nawash also describes the rally as the "front line" in an ideological war against radical Islamic teachings.

While Nawash highlights the fact that the rally will be headed by Middle Easterners, he is urging people of all stripes to participate in the event. Nawash hopes that a good turnout will send a message to radical Muslims and supporters of terrorism that mainstream Muslims reject them and will reclaim Islam from them.

In a recent interview in the Washington Times, Nawash drew a line in the sand between radical and moderate Islam, saying,

"Most people talk about a clash of civilizations, between Islam and the West. This is totally wrong. The battle today is between modernist Muslims who live in the 21st century, who believe in secularism, democracy and women's rights, and those who want to live in the 14th century, the traditionalists."
I flew into D.C. this morning to report on the rally and am on-site now. I will try to post updates later today as the event progresses.

I hope he has a good turnout. Terrorism will create a backlash and people like Stephen Schwartz seem to understand.

It all looks nice and rosy, doesn't it? Muslims marching against terror! Who'da thunk it? Kamal Nawash, that's who - the same guy who defended Abdurahman Alamoudi, who is now in federal prison. Nawash's client made frequent trips to nice countries like Syria, Pakistan, and even Libya - nice restricted countries at that. Nawash also lives in the Wahabbi corridor up near DC - a haven for Wahabbist Muslims who prefer the fundamentalist movement over anything. Yes, it all looks very nice indeed until the truth comes out. Be very careful on who looks pleasant as punch - trusting a Muslim is about the worst thing to do. Look back through the past twenty years or so and read the history books. Where are the trustworthy Muslims? Let's see what pans out from all of this - and it makes me wonder -- why has Nawash suddenly changed his tune and hosting a march on the anniversary of the birth of Israel?

If Nawash is aligned with Wahhabists or his Free Muslim Coalition fronts a hidden pro-Islamist agenda, then Walid Phares, who spoke at Nawash's rally today, is the ultimate rube--not likely.

Where was C.A.I.R. at today's rally?--nowhere to be found. That is indeed a sign that Nawash is credible. I'll post a telling of the day's events over the next 24 hours on MOONBAT--gotta catch a plane back home now.

Don't turn your back on them just yet, my talented, young, Italian fellow!

Hit It, Boys!

Please allow me to introduce myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste,
I've been around for a long, long years
Stole many a man's soul and faith.

And I was 'round when Jesus Christ
Had his moment of doubt and pain.
Made damn sure that Pilate
Washed his hands and sealed his fate.

Pleased to meet you
Hope you guess my name.
But what "COULD BE" puzzling you
Is the nature of my game.

I stuck around St. Petersburg
When I saw it was a time for a change.
Killed the czar and his ministers,
Anastasia screamed in vain

I rode a tank
Held a general's rank
When the blitzkrieg raged
And the bodies stank

Pleased to meet you
Hope you guess my name, oh yeah
Ah, what's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game, oh yeah
(woo woo, woo woo)

I watched with glee
While your kings and queens
Fought for ten decades
For the gods they made
(woo woo, woo woo)

I shouted out,
"Who killed the Kennedys?"
When after all
It was you and me
(who who, who who)

Let me please introduce myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
And I laid traps for troubadours
Who get killed before they reached Bombay
(woo woo, who who)

Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name, oh yeah
(who who)
But what's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game, oh yeah, get down, baby
(who who, who who)

Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name, oh yeah
But what's confusing you
Is just the nature of my game
(woo woo, who who)

Just as every cop is a criminal
And all the sinners saints
As heads is tails
Just call me Lucifer
'Cause I'm in need of some restraint

(who who, who who)

So if you meet me
Have some courtesy
Have some sympathy, and some taste
(woo woo)
Use all your well-learned politesse
Or I'll lay your soul to waste, um yeah
(woo woo, woo woo)

Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name, um yeah
(who who)
But what's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game, um mean it, get down
(woo woo, woo woo)

Woo, who
Oh yeah, get on down
Oh yeah
Oh yeah!
(woo woo)

Tell me baby, what's my name
Tell me honey, can ya guess my name
Tell me baby, what's my name
I tell you one time, you're to blame

Oh, who
woo, woo
Woo, who
Woo, woo
Woo, who, who
Woo, who, who
Oh, yeah

What's my name
Tell me, baby, what's my name
Tell me, sweetie, what's my name

Woo, who, who
Woo, who, who
Woo, who, who
Woo, who, who
Woo, who, who
Woo, who, who
Oh, yeah
Woo woo
Woo woo --(M. Jagger/K. Richards--Sympathy for the devil)

I met Nawash briefly while waiting in line to vote for prez. He was there supporting Bush (handing out literature at the polling station) in a very Democratic district. I'm not sure how the march went, because there's no mention in today's Washington Post. Not a word! Anyway, I got the feeling he's genuine enough. The fact that CAIR doesn't support him speaks volumes.

This seems like it was an interesting event.

No comment, as of yet, on "Suleyman Ahmad" Stephen Schwartz.
(will save that for later)
