Korans in the Toilet — Probe Underway
The Pentagon is investigating allegations that prison guards at Guantanamo Bay terrorist detention camp sometimes left copies of the Koran in restrooms to annoy and insult prisoners. Newsweek recently reported as much and now the Pakistani Foreign Ministry is demanding an apology from the U.S. over the alleged incidents.
Acting State Department spokesman Tom Casey comments:
"[T]he allegations out there are certainly serious and it would be important to have them be looked into. Obviously, the destruction of any kind of holy book, whether it's a Bible or a Koran or any other document like that, is something that's reprehensible and not in keeping with US policies and practices."Of course I agree with the great importance of promptly addressing these highly disturbing allegations, since it would be a profound injustice if those intent on killing as many Americans as possible were ever either insulted or annoyed by the Americans who guard them.

This late braking, unimpeachable (well, as unimpeachable as a Bob Meyer post) appurtenance update, concerning Probe Underway Over Korans Left in Toilets at Guantanamo Terrorist Detention Camp.
Day and night for a week, from every latrine, throughout Guantanamo Terrorist Detention Camp--Blood-curdling screams were heard coming from sons of mahound, as they ran out of the facilities with family jewels in hand.
Authorities were baffled, when the demoniacs insisted that their jewels were squeezed with the vengeance of Allah, each time they flushed the toilettes with the big handles. Many were heard screaming, "the infidels offended Allah by leaving the Korans on the toilets, and he exacts his punishment on us, for being their prisoners.
It turns out, although Amnesty International, and the Godless party aren't buying a word of it, the poor devils were sitting on the "mop buckets!!!"
