Cuba in Vietnam
Retired Cuban colonel Roberto Leon has admitted Cuba's role in expanding the Ho Chi Minh trail, which enabled the infiltration and subsequent conquest of South Vietnam. This role has been officially acknowledged since at least 1990 with Cuba's publication of The Great Secret: Cubans in the Ho Chi Minh Trail by functionary Raul Valdes Vivo. Cuba's extensive activities in Vietnam also included atrocities against American POWs.
