A Liberal Voice Says: It's Time To Give George Bush His Due

New Republic editor-in-chief Martin Peretz has written an extraordinary challenge to fellow liberals to give George Bush his due in launching an unprecedented change in the political atmosphere of the Middle East with enormous implications for peace in the region. It seems that the Iraq war was about the war on terror after all. It took courage and intelligence for a liberal Democrat whose party has been fiercely antagonistic to this President and this war to make such a concession and write such a piece. We hope his liberal colleagues listen to this counsel and embrace these second thoughts.
