United for Peace, Justice and Leftism

Sometimes, the margins of the left make it all too easy for its critics. Take the communist front group, United for Peace and Justice. Last week, UFPJ held a conference in St. Louis, Missouri. Happily, for our purposes, the New York Sun was there to witness its descent into leftist self-caricature.

At the opening session of the conference, attendees were asked to "prioritize voices of youth, gender, and color" when making a statement or answering a question. They were also told to be aware of "power group status" and "socioeconomic hierarchy" when speaking, or, as it is called on the left, "self-facilitating."

This protocol out of the way, attendees duly moved on to more pressing matters: linking the September 11 attacks to a covert plot by the CIA and the Mossad.
A member of the Northern California 9/11 Truth Alliance said she had concluded that American intelligence and the Mossad, Israel's intelligence unit, jointly staged the attacks. She acknowledged that the assertion is controversial even among members of the September 11, 2001, revisionist community. She said some think the Mossad tried to warn the CIA that an attack was pending.

No word on whether Indian-impersonator Ward Churchill will take up the subject in his next scholarly effort. Meanwhile, the fevered minds of UFPJ would do well to remember that, this being George W. Bush’s Amerika, the right to dissent has been suppressed, and as such, trafficking in conspiracies, however unhinged, has been banned from the public sphere. Just as it was last year, when John Perazzo reported on another UFPJ hate fest.
