The Axis of Evil takes on Starbucks
Now it is one thing for all those Islamist militant groups and their leftist apologists pretending to care about human rights to advocate genocide of Jews and to cheer when Arab fascists mass murder Jewish civilians. But it is another thing when they decide to mess with my Starbucks.
Yes, a group of advocacy groups promoting Islamofascism are dissing and boycotting Starbucks! Is there no limit to their savagery? The Islamic Human Rights Commission and Innovative Minds, supported by Friends of al-Aqsa, the Palestinian Return Centre, the Muslim Association of Britain, and the Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign, have been in a series of discussions with Oxfam regarding its agreement with pro-Zionist multinational coffee chain Starbucks. You know, the usual NGOs for genocide.
What did poor Starbucks do to arouse the ire of these great believers in human rights? Even though Starbucks has made more than its fair share in contributions to nice things? Probably even more than Ben and Jerry? Why, in October 2004, it emerged that Starbucks had agreed to contribute 100,000 to Oxfam's rural development programme in the East Harare coffe growing region of Ethiopia.
So what is Starbucks' cardinal sin? It employs Dem Joos! Starbucks chair Howard Schultz is a pro-Zionist activist whose own activities include helping student projects in North America and Israel give presentations on the Israeli perspective of the Intifada. Ironically, when Starbucks tried to open a chain in Israel, it failed, because Israel is one of the few places outside the Bay Area or Italy where people drink decent coffee already! (Well, France also, but there you have to be around the French to drink the coffee.)
The Islamofascists claim that Starbucks has sponsored the bowl4isreal event in addition to supporting occupation troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. Heavens to Mergatroyd!
Meanwhile, here is the great Mark Steyn on the collapse of the Arab Berlin Wall.

I have a complaint, Plaut. Your post above is most distressing, in that it forces me to side with Starbucks.
But as long as you don't force me to drink any frothy frou-frou concoctions, I'll go along with you on this issue.
Sincerely,
Plain Black Coffee RedBeard
I don't even drink coffee, yet suddenly I have this overwhelming urge to go to Starbucks and buy something, anything.... You can't really argue with people who want to vote with their dollars -- that is, after all, the nature of a Democracy -- but it's important for those of us in the opposite camp to remember to vote with our dollars as well.
